Thanks to our generous supporter EFTel, internet access has been provided for the duration of the conference. This will operate via a wireless network that will be available in certain areas throughout the Conference venue. This will provide presenters and delegates who have wireless enabled computers with access to the Conference Network as well as to the internet for use in workshops. Email access will be available outside presentation times.

Please bring your notebook computer to use in any of the ‘hands on’ workshops.

Conference presenters have listed any software that you will need to use in their workshop and have indicated if this may be downloaded from a particular website in advance of the Conference.

Delegates and presenters will not be able to download large files over the wireless network, so please download and install everything you will need before you arrive. At any stage, for example during a Keynote presentation, the wireless network or internet access may be temporarily disabled to allow maximum bandwidth to presenters. It is requested that delegates keep personal browsing to a minimum.

Because delegates will use their own wireless enabled notebook computers on the Conference network for ‘hands on’ workshops, they will, in most cases, be able to continue to use the full or trial versions of software installed on their own computer for the remainder of the trial period, after the Conference.

Important:

If you are using a school owned notebook computer, please ensure that you have administration 'rights' to be able to connect to the Conference network and to install any files or software that you wish to use. Technical support for delegates will be available in a limited capacity and therefore it is requested that software installations are attended to prior to the conference.

Please also ensure that your notebook computer and any other equipment that you are bringing to the Conference, as well as any power packs, cables, etc are all labelled with your name and a contact telephone number, so that they can be returned to you quickly if they are misplaced..
