So What is on the Conference Programme?

We invite you to join us at the ECAWA 2007 State Conference for two days of exciting professional learning and professional development opportunities, networking and sharing of information about ICT in education in a relaxed and friendly environment at the Atrium Hotel in Mandurah. The programme will incorporate a number of keynote addresses as well as concurrent presentations.

While a significant part of the programme will explore some of the opportunities that Web2+ technologies offer educators and students, there will be plenty more as well.

A strand in the programme will focus on senior secondary computing courses – Applied Information Technology and Computer Science.

For Primary and Middle School Teachers, strands within the programme will focus on using Information and Communications Technology in the classroom, including:

•The continuing development of computer skills for both the classroom practitioner and students
•Exploring the use of ICT within the Curriculum Framework to enhance and maximise student learning opportunities
•Innovative and achievable strategies to facilitate learning through ICT
•Student centred teaching and learning curriculum projects
•Scaffolding using ICT
•Practical classroom ideas from experienced educators

Presenters will introduce delegates to some of the latest software, discuss their experiences and share their tips for using the software in the classroom

An interesting Trade Exhibition will give delegates an opportunity to examine the latest products and meet the representatives of some of our sponsors, and once again, many sponsors will be giving great prizes.

More details will be published on ECAWeb as they become available.

A copy of the Registration form that includes full details of Conference costs may be downloaded from this website.

If you have any ideas or suggestions to pass on, or if you have any queries, please contact Lynley McKernan or Gillian Skeggs
