Entering Data into a Database

1. You can enter data at the Form View, or the Table View.

Table View: Click the Table tab and Open.

The Table View appears.

Form View: Click the Form tab and Open

Either the Form or Table views may be used for entering data in your database. I prefer the Form View to enter data and will use it in this tutorial.

To enter information simply click in the appropriate field box and type in the data. Press Tab to move to the next Field. Press Enter at the last Field to move to the next Record. (This example has only Five records.)

The view below is called the Datasheet View. When in Table View, only the Datasheet View is available for entering data. When in Form View both the Datasheet and Form views are available for entering data.

When in Form view you can switch between Form View and Datasheet View using the View menu, or by using the View Tool at the top/left of the Toolbar as indicated below.
