The International Computer Driving Licence

The International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) is based on the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)

In Australia the ICDL is supported by the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

The Syllabus
The ICDL syllabus consists of seven Modules covering all aspects of Computer Literacy including Hardware, Software and Communications.

MODULE1 Resources

Skills Test
The student demonstrates mastery of each skill by completing Skills Tests supervised by an Accredited Test Centre.

Training
Training may be provided by any organisation.

Candidate  Costs
The only cost to the candidate is for a Skills Card. The Skills Card is held by the Test Centre and is endorsed as the candidate successfully completes each Module Test. The completed Skills Card is forwarded to the ACS. The ACS then issues the candidate with an ICDL certificate. The cost for a Skills Card is approximately $AUS70.00

There may be additional costs associated with training provided by Test Centres, or third party organisations.

Application and Accreditation Fee (includes one site visit): $825
Each additional site visit: (price on application)
Annual Accreditation Fee: $550
Pre-purchase thirty (30) ICDL Skills Cards
(Payable on return of executed Test Centre Agreement): $1,980
ICDL Skills Cards (each) $66
(NB: The minimum purchase is 30 Skills Cards]
