“Pointers” describe features that demonstrate attainment of each sub-Strand. How each of the Pointers is addressed depends upon the “Context” in which students are working. The way in which mastery of the Materials strand is demonstrated, for example, will vary greatly depending upon whether students are engaged in Information Processing, Design and Technology, Fabrics, or Food Technology. The final School Report will indicate the Context of each Level. It is likely that students will receive different Levels for the same Strand, depending upon the Context.
